Look Fantastic October Beauty Box #LFBeautyBox

I'm definitely little bit late to post about Look Fantastic's October Beauty Box (£15.00*) but I have to say from the outset that I really do think that it's incredible. First off, I love that Look Fantastic are moving away from the black and white packaging, the new designs they're using make the whole beauty box experience more glamorous and exciting! Once you crack the box open you're greeted by a whole host of beauty goodies from some seriously lovely brands. There's no messing about here, Look Fantastic are doing a really good job of delivering consistently high quality beauty boxes.

Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil* | rrp £14.00 | sample value £7.00

I first discovered Percy & Reed when their products were available as free gifts with purchase of Glamour magazine and I remember having a really positive experience of their conditioner. The Volumising No Oil Oil is a multi purpose styling product that not only adds some texture and heat protection, but also offers some nourishment to help strengthen and moisturise your hair. If you have fine hair like me then you might be a little wary of hair oils, but apparently the No Oil Oil is designed with fine hair in mind. I'm quite interested to try this out and I think the sample size is pretty generous too, especially as it usually takes me ages to finish these sorts of hair products.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream* | rrp £11.00 | sample value £2.2o

I'm always happy to see Nuxe's products in beauty boxes as I think they offer some very luxurious products. Although I'm not exactly about to run out of hand creams I do still enjoy recieving samples of them as they're always useful. For a handcream this is quite a small sample but it's definitely enough to work out if I'd like to repurchase it in the future, and it's also a great size to pop in my handbag.

Monu Firming Moisturiser* | rrp £22.50 | sample value £11.25

I absolutely adore Monu's skincare and body care products so I'm really happy to see such a generously sized sample in this month's Look Fantastic Beauty Box. I know not everyone knows about Monu but this moisturiser sounds perfect for those with normal to dry skin during the winter months. I don't know if it would work so well on my combination (oily/dehydrated) skin but I do like to use slightly richer creams like this one on my neck!

Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream* | rrp £42.00 | sample value £16.80

Despite knowing a lot about Elemis, and seeing the brand everywhere, I haven't actually tried many of their products before. When I first saw this sample in the beauty box I was immediately impressed with the stylish packaging and was really glad to see that it was a product suitable for my skin type. I like that Look Fantastic have included two moisturisers aimed towards different skin concerns as I think that it allows most customers to get something that will definitely work for them. It's great to see Elemis in this month's box and I'm really excited to see how this works for my skin.

Balance Me Radiance Face Mask* | rrp £18.00 | sample value £3.60

It wouldn't be an exaggeration if I said that Balance Me's Radiance Face Mask is one of my favourite facial treatments - I use it all the time and am always recommending it to friends and fellow beauty enthusiasts! I think it's fantastic to see the brand in Look Fantastic's beauty box and the sample size is more than enough to really see if you'd like to purchase the full-size product. I find that it really helps with declogging blocked pores (especially on my nose and chin) and also helps to brighten the appearance of my skin. It's a great all-rounder for when you need help with a little bit of everything!

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser* | rrp £34.00 | sample value £5.10

This is another skincare product that I've used in the past and really, really enjoyed! I used a similar sized sample earlier this year and it was enough for a lot of applications. This is essentially a chemical exfoliating cleanser that helps to unclog blocked pores and brighten your skin, but without any manual exfoliation. It's an expensive product but it really works tremendously well and is worth every penny if you struggle with really congested or dull-looking skin. I love Murad's products and they're another brand that I'm always really happy to see in beauty boxes.

Look Good Feel Better Eye Shading Brush* | rrp £6.99 | sample value £6.99

I couldn't find this exact brush on Look Fantastic so I've sort of guessed the price based on the value of the other brushes on the site. I haven't used it yet but I like that it's a full-size brush and it looks nice enough. I'm always interested in trying affordable makeup brushes and 12% of the selling price is donated to charity, so with every purchase you're also giving something back.

Personally, I think that Look Fantastic's October Beauty Box was one of the best yet. It was packed full of brands that I love and products that I'm really excited to use. It is a shame that these beauty boxes don't generally contain more makeup, but I so always find the skincare, bodycare and haircare samples offer much better value for money and I really appreciate the great value of this particular box!

You can sign up for LookFantastic's beauty box subscription service on their website for between £11.25 - £15.00 per month, or you can buy individual boxes for £15.00.

  1. I totally agree that this is a brilliant box! I have oily skin but am finding the Monu moisturiser works really nicely as a night cream for me, and I can't wait to try the Elemis day cream :) I'm pretty excited to try the Balance Me mask after reading your post, as well - I've not used it before!
